If Fast-Weigh Support is remotely assisting in this process, you will need an active internet connection and an unused ethernet port on your PC. If your PC only has one ethernet port, you can connect to Wi-Fi or use a USB to Ethernet Adapter. After configuration is complete you can continue using the ethernet port.
Provisioning Steps:
Powering on the Device
Connect Power Supply to Wall Socket and Moxa N-Port.
Connect the Ethernet Cable to Moxa N-Port and available ethernet connection.
If Fast-Weigh Support is remotely assisting in this process, you will need an active internet connection and an unused ethernet port on your PC.
The Moxa N-Port should be showing:
Ready LED Indicator: Solid Green
Link LED Indicator: Solid Green
Tx/Rx LED Indicator: OFF
Configuring the PC
Go to the "Control Panel"
Click "View Network Status and Tasks" under Network and Internet.
Click Ethernet Connection:
Click Properties:
Highlight "Internet Protocol Versions 4 (TCP/IPv4)" and Click Properties:
Click "Use the Following IP Address:" and enter the following:
IP Adress: "192.168.127.10"
Subnet Mask: "255.255.255.0"
Default Gateway: "192.168.127.1"
Configuring the Moxa
Open a web browser and enter: "192.168.127.254" in the address bar.
Enter "moxa" when prompted for the password.
Go To Operating Settings -> Port 1
Set Operation Mode to: "TCP Server Mode"
Set Max Connections to:"4"
Click "Submit" at the bottom of the page.
Click "Save and Restart" when prompted.
Refresh the page and enter "moxa" when prompted for the password.
Go To Serial Settings -> Port 1
Set the Baud rate to "9600".
Click "Submit" at the bottom of the page.
Click "Save and Restart" when prompted.
Refresh the page and enter "moxa" when prompted for the password.
Go To Network Settings
Change the IP Address to an available IP on your primary network
Click "Submit" at the bottom of the page.
Click "Save and Restart" when prompted.
Resetting the PC
Go to the "Control Panel"
Click "View Network Status and Tasks" under Network and Internet.
Click Ethernet Connection:
Click Properties:
Highlight "Internet Protocol Versions 4 (TCP/IPv4)" and Click Properties:
Select "Obtain an IP address Automatically" and "Obtain DNS Server address Automatically"
Connect Moxa N-Port to your network via Ethernet.
Connect your serial connection to the Moxa
Connecting to the Ticketing App
Go to Settings -> Devices
Set Mode: "TCP"
Enter the IP Address you assigned the moxa in the Scale Address Field
Set Scale Port: "4001"
