Loadrite

LG500

Overview

The LG500 Gateway is a data communication hub that centralizes payload data from multiple Loadrite scales via ethernet network.

Setup

1

Hook up LG500 on Rear Panel

There are two panels on the LG500, the "Rear" and the "Front". To get started, please complete the following steps using the LG500's Rear Panel.

2

Open the Loadrite Communications Interface ( LCI )

The rear panel's ethernet port is bound to a static IP of [ 192.168.88.3 ]

To login to the LG500 CLI, head to that IP Address on the PC connected to that port

3

Login to LCI

Click the [ Log In ] button in the LCI Navbar. The login credentials by default should be the following.

Username: sa

Password: lcc

4

Head to /configuration

Once logged in everything will look the same, but you can now head to the URL 192.168.88.3/configuration to setup the LG500 for your network.

You have to manually add the /configuration at the end of the IP in the URL, the navbar option "Configuration" as seen in the image will not appear otherwise.

5

Alter Connections

Under Connections, you can set your LG500 to a static IP, which Fast-Weigh and other Loadrite devices can use to communicate with it. If you plan to use a static IP you will need to input these fields.

After making the appropriate changes, select [ Submit and Reboot ]. If you are near your LG500, you will hear it beep as it turns off and on again. After it has rebooted, you can check the [ About ] tab to see the changes made.

Use

Once you have finished setting up your LG500 and adding it as a Device into Fast-Weigh, you should be able to see any tickets created on the assigned lane on the LG500 LCI, which you can now more-easily access by simply using the IP assigned during config, instead of using the rear-panel ethernet port, though changing LG500 config settings in the LCI via this IP is NOT RECOMENDED.

Furthermore, you can now use the LG500's assigned IP to connect it to the L5000. To do this, follow the walkthrough below.
