## LG500

***

### Overview

The **LG500** Gateway is a data communication hub that centralizes payload data from multiple Loadrite scales via ethernet network.

### Setup

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Hook up LG500 on Rear Panel

There are two panels on the LG500, the "Rear" and the "Front". To get started, please complete the following steps using the LG500's Rear Panel.

* [ ] **( 1 )** Plug up the DC 12V Power port to an outlet.
* [ ] **( 2 )** Connect a nearby **PC** to the **LG500** via the Ethernet port on same panel face.

<figure><img src="https://490131596-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F0LJDMCSYOqplCEgCo73X%2Fuploads%2FylhrRtwfQBkd0oe0IWej%2Fimage_2025-08-11_141500515.png?alt=media&#x26;token=5d21ee3e-2857-4d6b-a1d0-dc8c10f965f6" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Open the Loadrite Communications Interface ( LCI )

The rear panel's ethernet port is bound to a static IP of **\[ 192.168.88.3 ]**

To login to the LG500 CLI, head to that IP Address on the PC connected to that port

<figure><img src="https://490131596-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F0LJDMCSYOqplCEgCo73X%2Fuploads%2FVl4nTR9jsLZnHKipGAXQ%2Fimage.png?alt=media&#x26;token=894cf882-2b89-475d-8ea0-043ed6f97dae" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Login to LCI

Click the **\[ Log In ]** button in the LCI Navbar. The login credentials by default should be the following.

Username: **sa**

Password: **lcc**

<figure><img src="https://490131596-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F0LJDMCSYOqplCEgCo73X%2Fuploads%2FGr4u7gvRXxkTJvNSptMG%2Fimage.png?alt=media&#x26;token=f3bb6127-2324-44b5-bd71-70122816691b" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Head to /configuration

Once logged in everything will look the same, but you can now head to the URL **192.168.88.3/configuration** to setup the LG500 for your network.&#x20;

{% hint style="info" %}
You have to manually add the /configuration at the end of the IP in the URL, the navbar option "Configuration" as seen in the image will not appear otherwise.
{% endhint %}

<figure><img src="https://490131596-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F0LJDMCSYOqplCEgCo73X%2Fuploads%2FmDhykRXJEgDNG9REZqMK%2Fimage.png?alt=media&#x26;token=dd341751-14e2-4567-beb8-16dd3d4788dc" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Alter Connections

Under Connections, you can set your LG500 to a static IP, which Fast-Weigh and other Loadrite devices can use to communicate with it. If you plan to use a static IP you will need to input these fields.

* [ ] **IP**: Choose an IP
* [ ] **Netmask**: Set to 255.255.255.0
* [ ] **Gateway**: Your networks Gateway IP
* [ ] **DNS:** Set to 8.8.8.8
* [ ] **DNS Configuration:** Set to nameserver 8.8.8.8

After making the appropriate changes, select **\[ Submit and Reboot ].** If you are near your LG500, you will hear it beep as it turns off and on again. After it has rebooted, you can check the **\[ About ]** tab to see the changes made.

<figure><img src="https://490131596-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F0LJDMCSYOqplCEgCo73X%2Fuploads%2FcWKCeci62wjbO0nJs2Nx%2Fimage.png?alt=media&#x26;token=0f27b1f0-627e-4d2a-b4e0-9b97ba7514dc" alt=""><figcaption><p>Example Connections Setup</p></figcaption></figure>
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Hooking up LG500 on the Front Panel

You can now unplug the **Rear Panel's Ethernet** cable from your PC.&#x20;

To finish opening up the **LG500** to communication across your network, use the **Front Panel's Ethernet Port** to hook up your **LG500** to your network's **switch/router**.

### Use

Once you have finished setting up your LG500 and adding it as a Device into Fast-Weigh, you should be able to see any tickets created on the assigned lane on the LG500 LCI, which you can now more-easily access by simply using the IP assigned during config, instead of using the rear-panel ethernet port, though changing **LG500** config settings in the LCI via this IP is **NOT RECOMENDED**.

Furthermore, you can now use the LG500's assigned IP to connect it to the L5000. To do this, follow the walkthrough below.

{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

### Use

If you have completed the LG500 setup and the L5000 setup you should now be ready to start ticketing using these devices.

To do so, just select a truck and product on the Fast-Weigh Lane that the LG500 is assigned and stash the ticket. The L5000 should then popup with a truck symbol allowing you to select that stashed ticket and finish loading it from the L5000.
